Two ice cream trucks and maybe a lawsuit

Too funny–from Lowering the Bar, of course–not to give you the pleasure of reading.

And it’s a story from my very own state, New York, although of course upstate and downstate (where I live) are two individual countries. For one thing, urban downstate does not, as far as I know, have turf wars between ice cream trucks named “Snow Kone Joe” and “Mr. Ding-aLing.” Footnote.

A judge in upstate New York has dismissed charges against the owners of an ice-cream-truck business, who had been accused of stalking and harassing a rival company’s driver. The defendants complained that they had suffered humiliation because the reports of a turf war between “Snow Kone Joe” and “Mr. Ding-a-Ling” had received worldwide attention, and all I can say is wait until they sue Mr. Ding-a-Ling for malicious prosecution.

Footnote: I’ve been to Gloversville once, when I was gumshoeing on a major criminal case that had something to do with gloves. From my visit, I now know that there was once a time when Gloversville produced virtually all the gloves made in this world. Which may be a slight exaggeration, but only slight. It doesn’t anymore, for the usual reasons.
