A day in court

Today, as my lawyer and the defendant’s lawyer went backstage, so to speak, to talk to the law clerk about a variety of things, I noticed that a couple of the lawyers sitting near me were reading books, not cell phone texts.

I had Lawrence Sanders’ McNally’s Secret to the right of me and Brew Like a Monk to my left.

Thought you’d enjoy knowing what lawyers read while hanging around in Supreme Court, waiting for … whatever.
