A lawsuit that jars the soothed stretched senses

According to yesterday’s NYT, the Bikram Yoga studio in the Flatiron district is suing the Yoga to the People studio, also in the Flatiron district.

Now, what I remember about the philosophy of yoga (from reading one or two books one of which with big illustrative pictures of a very old yogi in diapers)—I still use yoga, although, oh gee, I forgot to do my stretch this morning—you’re supposed to let be. Not struggle against the current but (I can’t believe I’m writing this!) go with the flow.

Yoga must have changed a lot since I first learned about it.
