From Harper’s Weekly Review:
Ben & Jerry’s announced that it would change its bovine diets with the aim of cutting back on farts that produce greenhouse gas emissions, and a heat wave in Kansas killed at least 2,000 cows.
Yeah, OK, see if Ben & Jerry’s tastes different. But if you crab about it, you’re the same people who’ll vote for crazies because gas prices are up. So don’t beef to me. Instead, worry about killer heat waves — which have something to do with the price of gasoline, although at the moment I don’t feel like restating the connection.
And, in coincidentally related Harper’s news items:
“So I just took responsibility for it and I said, ‘Yeah it’s my fault, and I’m to blame,’” said a former gas station manager who was fired for accidentally pricing gasoline at .69 cents a gallon.
