Animal news: see what was found in the Rockefeller Center Xmas tree

A teeny owl. Teeny and hungry and thirsty.

He’s been moved from Rockefeller Center to a wildlife rescue center upstate, and is reportedly eating all the mice he’s given.

Whew.

Meanwhile the sort of paranoids we get in New York are concerned because they say an owl is a bad omen. Oy. No, paranoids: owls are a symbol of Athena, the goddess of wisdom. Ergo, they are symbols of smart.

Those of you who are not paranoid can extend this discussion into a lot of areas. I leave it to you. I’ve got a few other things to do.
