Animal news: Some male birds wear false colors to attract mates

You know what I’m about to say, right?

No? OK, then read this story, “Some Male Birds Fly Under False Colors to Attract Mates, Study Suggests: Elaborate feather microstructures allow male tanagers to enhance their colors, making them seem as if they are higher quality mates.”

Male birds? Only birds? I’m thinking someone is going to rev up a similar study about some male humans.

P.S. At the link there’s a striking picture of one of those flamboyant male tanagers. Some male humans wear colors like that. On the golf course, anyway.
