What a story! Wild boars — piggies, that is — are strolling the streets in Haifa, Israel.
To put it simply (which, as a worse than secular Jew, I must since I know nothing of the complexities), pigs are not kosher. Ergo, I am curious about how Haredi Israeli Jews, the ultra-ultra-orthodox, are interpreting this.
After several years of watching and re-watching “The Yorkshire Vet,” I know that wild boars have been adopted as pets. Is it OK to enjoy their companionship as long as you don’t eat them?
