Biden’s White House vs Trump’s, in one brisk sentence

High management, like high command, if well done will often be invisible; if badly done, its effects will litter the landscape and crop up underfoot at every turn.

–Eric Larrabee, in Commander in Chief: Franklin Delano Roosevelt, His Lieutenants, And Their War (1987).

Here, Larrabee was drawing a long critical comparison between the Luftwaffe, as managed by Göring (“At the top of this busy ant heap [German Air Ministry] was a total incompetent”) and the still nascent American air force, being midwifed by General “Hap” Arnold.

Throughout this remarkably thrilling read, I regularly see comparisons which, if names were changed, could land splat on the roof of Trump’s head. If the cabal which is running Trump did indeed conscientiously try to replicate Hitler’s m.o., they’ve done a magnificant job, particularly in their selections of “functionaries” currently trashing our government offices.

They’ve out-Heiled Hitler.
