Apparently, when predominantly white cops kill unarmed black people, are investigated and put on restrictive duty, they are being discriminated against.
As evidence, I offer the entire story below, from today’s Daily News, with a giant color photo of, I guess, Cleveland, just in case you’ve never seen the wonder that is downtown Cleveland.
There’s got to be a deeper, more encompassing word for this lawsuit than chutzpah. It suggests − in its innovated repulsiveness − that maybe Darren Wilson, too, will file a federal lawsuit against Ferguson, MO for … being treated as a white armed cop who shot an unarmed black teenager?
Cops involved in a 2012 shooting of an unarmed black man and woman in Cleveland have filed a federal lawsuit against the city charging racial discrimination. The eight white and one Hispanic officers claim in the suit filed Friday that they are being treated “substantially harsher” than black colleagues involved in shootings of African-Americans.
The shooting occurred after a chase that was prompted by what cops thought was gunfire. The officers fired 137 rounds at the fleeing car, killing the driver and his female passenger.
The cops claim they’ve been kept on restrictive duty because it’s “politically expedient.”
