The Trump Administration said it was sending states money to fully fund SNAP benefits for nearly 42 million Americans on the same day that the Supreme Court temporarily upheld the administration’s prior request to block said benefits. Following the decision, a memo from the United States Department of Agriculture ordered any states that had distributed full benefits to “immediately undo” the payment. “There is a chaos,” the governor of Maryland said of the situation, “and it is an intentional chaos.”
