The story is about an intern for Sean (Diddy) Combs company, Bad Boy, who was paid nothing. And is suing. And she should. This whole “unpaid intern” thing is a violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act, about which I have written a number of times.
Amazing to me who doesn’t pay anything. Businesses that make a lot of money pay nothing. Bad Boy is less “bad” than very successful. It and Sean Combs (I can’t keep up with his noms d’artiste) should pay Rashida Salaam and what her lawsuit estimates is more than 500 Bad Boy unpaid interns. Who should, says the lawsuit, be eligible to join the claim. (Hip) hop on!
