“Documentary Gives Hot Issue Caffeinated Jolt”

From Sunday’s New York Times television section, an article about an upcoming HBO documentary dealing with the heretofore infamous “Lady sues McDonald’s for being burnt by a cup of spilled coffee” case.

You’ll have to watch it for me: I don’t get HBO. But given that it was made by a lawyer-turned-filmmaker named Susan Saladoff, and given that it sounds like it’s admirably thorough about the legal process, and demonstrates how big corporate forces are behind (and beneath) the contemptible and nonsensical “tort reform” screech, I’ll certainly be renting it when it’s available from my last video store standing, the very special World of Video.
