Exhausted and incoherent….

…I thank you, gods of journalism, for Gail Collins who, in her NYT column today, “Well, That Was Scary,” said what I would have been thinking if I’d been able to think:

The cosmic [question] has been with us for four years now — how the hell could American voters have picked Trump to be president to begin with? And how, after four years of his Fib-a-Minute administration, could they have come even remotely close to re-electing him?

She answers that question, and some others, with a short lesson in American voting history. But I’m consulting with my fingers and they tell me they’re unable to go further here so everyone should simply go to Gail (that’s what that purple link is for) and she’ll tell you.
