Last week, I cheered the Barhoum family onward to consider suing the New York Post for defamation. Well, actually I didn’t suggest they “consider” suing; I hoped they’d sue, because the Post had pasted a photo of their son, Salah, on the front page and labeled him a “Bag Man” of the Boston Marathon bombing.
Needless to say, he wasn’t.
So, according to Erik Wemple in the Washington Post — the other Post, the one that sort of remains a real newspaper — that’s exactly what is happening: Father of New York Post ‘Bag Man’ seeks legal counsel.
