Former student sues over backpack she designed

Diana Rubio, 33, says she designed the ‘Everything Backpack’ when assigned to come up with a ‘Back to Campus’ idea for Barnes & Noble for her class at the Fashion Institute of Technology in 2010. The book store used her design, and the backpack was a successful product. Rubio said she received no money from the sales. Now she has filed a lawsuit.
