I just heard the mayor of Surfside, Florida say that on TV.

No, mayor. It has nothing to do with an imaginary deity — and your celestial citation is not going to make it into the massive lawsuits against your town, its building regulators, the condo boards, and the banks, construction companies and real estate people who are liable for this catastrophe produced not by god but by fallible, greedy, corrupt, stupid and negligent human beings.

God isn’t going to help you stay solvent. You might try reading the fine print on your insurance policies.
