Hi tech meets asbestos. Result? Lawsuit

From today’s Daily News:

SMART boards – dumb move: suit

There is nothing “smart” about drilling into school walls that are full of asbestos, a lawsuit charges.

Eight workers for Tequipment, which installs touchscreen SMART boards in schools in the city and across New York State, have sued their bosses, alleging they were fired for complaining about asbestos they were exposed to while doing their job.

“There were workers in hazmat suits doing asbestos abatement in one room while they were drilling in the next room!” said Daniel Felber, lawyer for the plaintiffs.

They seeks reinstatement and damages to be determined in Manhattan Supreme Court.
