When I sit at my computer doing…well, writing and reading Twitter, my back is toward the TV set.
When I sit at my computer writing, I play folk and pop CDs on my CD player. For the energy. (Serious music is too distracting; I tend to listen to serious music rather than writing to it. But when there’s a strong beat from folk and pop, I can dance on my chair while writing. I would never let you see me do this.)
By the late afternoon, when I’m sitting at my computer, I turn off the CDs and turn on MSNBC. But my back is still toward the TV.
I don’t have to turn my eyes to the TV; I recognize every voice of everyone on MSNBC. And then I talk to them, still facing the computer.
How on earth will this end?
