I’m sure you’ve heard about this. I heard it on the news this morning. Here is the official story, from the New York Times:

And this is why lawsuits are so valuable: if no government agency was able to stop Johnson & Johnson from selling those implants, the only justice for the people who were afflicted by the devices comes from a lawsuit.
When government has been weakened by political nonsense (in this case, it would have been nice if the FDA had weighed in on the implants before the damage was done), We the People as plaintiffs — and jurors — will take up the cause.
