“Hulk Hogan vs. Gawker, Round 2”

Why am I posting this–aside from the wonderment of having the NYT report on this case?

The retired wrestler who won $140 million from the site over a sex tape is suing over a video transcript in which he is quoted as using racial slurs.

Because: The NYT correction today (5/5/16), which doesn’t change my utter delight in having, once again, Bubba The Love Sponge Clem’s name in print.

Let me print it again: BUBBA THE LOVE SPONGE CLEM, whose original first name was Todd. Eh.

An article on Tuesday about a second lawsuit filed by the former professional wrestler Hulk Hogan against Gawker Media misstated part of a claim in the suit. The suit contends that Gawker tried “to gain access to video and/or audio footage” of Mr. Hogan’s use of racial slurs, not that it had obtained that tape. (Gawker denies ever possessing it.)
