I just developed my own face mask

I’d found one paper mask in my cabinet, a left-over from construction work years ago. It looked pretty limp but I’ve been wearing it because it’s all I’ve got.

Yesterday, I noticed the metal band glued to the top of the nose part of it has fallen off and disappeared. I looked at it for a while, thinking about double-sided tape, glue, scarves.

Then I had an epiphany: vacuum cleaner bags. Of which I have quite a few. So I pulled one out and saw it was made out of the same sort of fabric used for the masks. Except the vacuum cleaner bag is even thicker.

I’ve cut up one, will stitch the sides, attach elastic and bingo.

Now, if I could figure out how to mass produce these things for my sister’s and niece’s hospitals…
