This story from the New York Times, by Manny Fernandez, made me mad.<\/a><\/p>\n

But I’ll reliably get mad when (1) teen-age cheerleaders, in a surprising demonstration of how well they have been educated in American history, sue for their Constitutional right to express themselves by “us[ing] verses from Scripture at [a]… [high school’s] football games;” (2) any religion whatsoever is inserted into public school events, especially when my tax payments are and should be used to support public education and the Constitution; and (3) I read the name “Texas” in a news article about Constitutional rights.<\/p>\n

In fact, just poke the word “Texas” into my eye and I’ll scream. Reliably.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
