A former curator at the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco sued the place,<\/a> saying she was fired because she appeared at a union protest meeting and<\/em> was a whistleblower: she had objections to an appraisal (presumably of a work of art) which she believed was fraudulent.<\/p>\n If what she claims is true \u2014 she had always been given excellent evaluations \u2014 you’ve got to wonder what administrators of companies and\/or organizations are thinking when they fire someone, claiming “performance-related reasons.” Maybe they just think they’re more powerful than one individual.<\/p>\n And maybe they are.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" This one is interesting for a number of reasons.
