The suits also cite a key prosecution witness who later recanted.<\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"story-body-text story-content\" itemprop=\"articleBody\" style=\"padding-left: 30px;\" data-para-count=\"297\" data-total-count=\"1696\"><em>\u201cWhen you\u2019re innocent and you\u2019re in prison knowing that you didn\u2019t commit this crime, the pain is double,\u201d said Carlos Perez, who, along with Michael Cosme and Devon Ayers, filed the lawsuits against the city. \u201cIt hurt me emotionally, it hurt me psychologically; many times I
