He\u2019d looked at it during its onset, but thereafter found it difficult to figure it out.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOh, it\u2019s a mess,\u201d I said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s a mess,\u201d he agreed.<\/p>\n<p>We were both correct: it\u2019s a mess.<\/p>\n<p>I am sorry. I\u2019m having a great time writing and I don\u2019t think the writing is a mess, but even <em>I<\/em> have trouble figuring out what is where.<\/p>\n<p><em><\/em>I\u2019ve set out to do too many different things.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>First, I wanted to lay out, in my own conscientiously eccentric way, the stages of a lawsuit, so that if and when you find yourself involved in one, you will have been prepared\u2014by me, a plaintiff experienced in most aspects of lawsuits.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A reasonable intention for a blog.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Second, I was going to use the story of <em>my<\/em> two concurrent lawsuits as an outline for my first purpose\u2014the stages of a lawsuit from the plaintiff\u2019s POV, blah blah.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>That intention is more blook than blog. And I sense I\u2019ve been  telling you more than you really want to know. Or rather, you may want  to <em>know<\/em> it, but probably  not in blog form. Maybe you\u2019d prefer to wait for the book. (<em>I<\/em> would.)<\/p>\n<p>Besides, a good blog post is a stand-alone sort of essay: it should not be dependent upon previous chapters of the story. It should be nice to read on that one day you happen to read it, without requiring much background.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>And then, third, to layer it up way too warmly, I\u2019ve been posting what I\u2019ve called <strong>Sidebars<\/strong>, my brief opinions linked to newspaper or magazine stories concerning law, lawyers, lawsuits and the like. I even managed to yank Lady Gaga into this, not without blushing.<\/li>\n<li>Hold on a sec: Lady Gaga yanked <em>herself<\/em> into this. <em>She&#8217;s<\/em> the one who should be blushing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Actually, these <strong>Sidebars<\/strong> by themselves would make a decent blog. They\u2019d do better alone, without (1) my lawsuits and (2) the stages of a lawsuit.<\/p>\n<p>(Sigh.) I\u2019ve tried to clear things up. How?<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>No longer will I call brief opinions <strong>Sidebars<\/strong>. Each will now have a relevant title, not simply Lawsuit of the Week or whatever. And I\u2019ve filed what used to be called &#8220;Sidebars&#8221; into one or more of my other legal categories, such as \u201cWho Sues?\u201d or \u201cWho Shouldn\u2019t Sue?&#8221; or one of the lawsuit stages.<\/li>\n<li>I\u2019ve de-cluttered the look of it. On the right side, under the \u201csearch\u201d box, is a drop-down menu called Chapters of the Story where are all my previous posts are filed.<\/li>\n<li>I\u2019m so annoyed that blogs store posts latest first. Since this is a sort of book, I\u2019d like the postings to be stored earliest first. You know. The way a book reads. The WordPress format disagrees with me. We\u2019ve argued bitterly for hours.
