A Westchester woman has been convicted of threatening to kill a federal judge because he tossed out her lawsuit against a car dealership.<\/em><\/p>\n Regina Lewis, a self-proclaimed activist and serial litigant who has filed more than 80 lawsuits, delivered the threat in a call to Manhattan Federal Court Judge Lewis Kaplan\u2019s assistant on July 19, 2012.<\/em><\/p>\n She declared she had a \u201cf—–g bullet with his name on it\u201d and said he was “f—–g with the wrong person \u2014 he is white trash,\u201d according to court papers.<\/em><\/p>\n Lewis\u2019 lawyer blamed his client\u2019s statements on bipolar disorder, but Brooklyn Federal Court Judge Brian Cogan, who presided over a bench trial last week, ruled that she had the \u201cspecific intent to intimidate\u201d Kaplan.<\/em><\/p>\n Lewis, 48, faces up to 15 months in prison.<\/em><\/p>\n I like the phrase, “a self-proclaimed activist and serial litigant.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Maybe you don’t like your judge’s decision.
