This NYLJ abstract, which eliminated the name of the ex-cop who sued Con Ed for wrongfully dismissing him and just lost his case, means a great deal to me.<\/p>\n

I was working for the lawyers who represented Abner Louima in his civil rights lawsuit. I pay attention to news about anybody connected with that case.<\/p>\n

The unnamed ex-cop who sued Con Ed is Charles Schwarz, and following this abstract, I’m giving you the link to the actual decision.<\/p>\n

And here’s a brief description of the lawsuit, from the decision:<\/p>\n

Plaintiff, one of the police officers involved in, what both sides describes as, the notorious, brutal torture and sodomy of Haitian immigrant Abner Louima (“Louima”), brings this suit alleging that he was wrongfully terminated based on his 2002 perjury conviction, and vacated convictions, stemming from the incident.<\/em><\/p>\n

A former police officer linked to the attack on Abner Louima failed to show that Con Edison illegally fired him for his perjury conviction rather than his notoriety, a judge ruled this week.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
