It occurs to me to note that when Comey made his first, misplaced and opinionated announcement about the Clinton email investigation<\/a>, he was dissing–sulkily and bitterly–not only Hillary.<\/p>\n

He was also dissing his boss, Attorney General Loretta Lynch–who, like Hillary, is a strong, successful, smart woman.<\/p>\n

As I’ve pointed out previously, as head of the FBI Comey is not<\/em> a prosecutor. He is a cop. He was assigned to do an investigation. He did it. His proper behavior at that point would have been to report the results of his investigation to his boss, Loretta Lynch, who is the prosecutor in the case. And it was Lynch’s role to announce the results of the investigation and whether any further investigation or prosecution was warranted.<\/p>\n

But Comey, who is a huge man, stepped forward into the spotlight–blocking out his boss, a woman–to make that first announcement.<\/p>\n

And now he’s done it again. Specifically ignoring the protocols and warnings of the agency that governs him and the woman who heads it, he has shown both Hillary and Loretta Lynch utter contempt.<\/a><\/p>\n

It would seem Comey is a man who has a problem working for women. Maybe he expected to be nominated as Attorney General when Eric Holder left the job, and maybe he’s stewing because he wasn’t. Whatever his expectations, his behavior toward two important women, both superior to him in several respects, is rotten and deceitful.<\/p>\n

In light of that, let’s take another look at Todd Gitlin’s BillMoyers.com analysis about Hillary hatred. Misogyny is the word Gitlin uses.<\/a><\/p>\n

And Comey, throughout all his self-appointed proclamations and sleazy, indefensible letter to Congress, has been demonstrating misogyny on all fronts.<\/p>\n
