Just pulled this off BillMoyers.com, an excerpt from “We Must Know The Truth,”<\/a>\u00a0 written by Moyers himself and Michael Winship, re the Michael Flynn scandal and the GOP’s stated intention not to investigate it:<\/p>\n

Jason Chaffetz, chair of the House Oversight Committee, says he won\u2019t investigate<\/a> the Flynn affair \u2014 \u201cI think that situation has taken care of itself.\u201d How about that for respecting the public\u2019s need to know? And Rep. Chris Collins of upstate New York, the man with the dubious distinction of being the first member of Congress to endorse Trump\u2019s candidacy, told CNN\u2019s Chris Cuomo on Tuesday morning<\/a>, \u201cI think it\u2019s just time to move on.\u201d When asked why so many of his GOP colleagues were silent he suggested, \u201cWell, [it\u2019s] Valentine\u2019s Day, and I guess they\u2019re having breakfasts with their wives.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Takes your breath away, doesn\u2019t it?<\/em><\/p>\n

Note to New York Democrats: when you target Chris Collins for removal in 2018, your campaign ads should repeat over and over “…Valentine’s Day, and I guess they’re having breakfasts with their wives.”<\/strong><\/p>\n
