Sour note over Gaga cash<\/strong>. A New Jersey rock producer says he was cut out of the rich royalties reaped\u00a0 from four Lady Gaga songs on which he collaborated, according to a lawsuit filed yesterday.<\/em><\/p>\n Calvin Gaines’ suit against his longtime partner Rob Pusari claims the fellow Garden State producer cheated him out of credit for the tunes.<\/em><\/p>\n Together the duo co-authored the score for a quartet of the songstress’ melodies, including mega-hit “Paparazzi,” as well as “Beautiful, Dirty, Rich,” “Disco Heaven” and “Retro Dance,” the suit says.<\/em><\/p>\n Lady Gaga wrote the songs’ lyrics, according to the suit, filed in U.S. District Court in New York.<\/em><\/p>\n This is probably not a contingency lawsuit. (Did you know that Lady Gaga purportedly wrote lyrics? I’m surprised. But I don’t really follow, shall we say, the life of Lady Gaga, except when she’s suing or someone is suing her.) Then look at another case, undoubtedly a contingency lawsuit, filed in U.S. District Court: “Storm victim’s kin to sue city.”<\/a><\/p>\n Petty to profoundly sad.
