I don’t know why, but today I’ve been singing Tom Lehrer’s<\/a> song, “Be Prepared!”<\/p>\n

Could it be because of…? Well, you know: topicality, relevance.<\/p>\n

If you were here, I’d sing it for you. (I can<\/em> sing.) But you’re not here, so all you get are the lyrics–unless you feel like clicking on this, Tom Lehrer himself singing. <\/a>You should; he’s terrific.<\/p>\n

Be prepared! that’s the boy scout’s marching song,<\/em>
