But now, thanks to Trump, we know the emoluments clause, when defied, does not<\/em> send T-men to drag the offender out of his office and whip him or something on the front lawn.<\/p>\n Thanks to Trump, we now understand how helpless we are as we watch the criminal organization known as Trumpworld do their $$$business while we are all left to scream out loud.<\/p>\n Except when a pro bono organization named CREW sues Trump for violating the emoluments clause, and then we cheer<\/a>. But we also wait. Because lawsuits take time.<\/p>\n Which, as an ex-law firm employee and successful plaintiff, I certainly did know.
