As the Brennan Center reports, crime rates in the U.S. remain at an historic low.<\/a><\/p>\n

Yet Trump continues his fact-free fear-mongering about crime. And apparently the Trump Base still gets excited by the dumb horror movie he’s scripted.<\/p>\n

Why? I go back to two explanations: the Dunning-Kruger Effect<\/a> and the swollen amygdala.<\/a><\/p>\n

Sounds silly but what other rational explanation can there be? That’s not a rhetorical question. I’m still searching…<\/p>\n
