Chapter 5 of How I Learned The Facts of Life<\/em> is “Pundits and clairvoyants and the facts of life.”<\/p>\n

In it, I do my own little definitions of pundits and experts. (Clairvoyants need no definition, although I slap at a couple of sports reporters who fancy their predictive powers.)<\/p>\n

Last night, I was really delighted when Rachel Maddow handed off to Lawrence O’Donnell, who told her he’d invited Neal Katyal<\/a> on to talk about law and what was going on in Portland.<\/p>\n

O’Donnell said Katyal had agreed but said he had to spend some time reading and reviewing our laws before he could offer any authoritative comment.<\/p>\n

Rachel laughed and pointed out that was the distinction between an expert and a pundit.<\/p>\n
