\u201cThis has got to be the stupidest lawsuit ever,\u201d said the person who sent me this complaint, and I\u2019m not saying he\u2019s necessarily wrong, just that he probably doesn\u2019t know just how much competitition there is for that award<\/a>. But wow, is this dumb.<\/em><\/p>\n Abdiell Suero, a New York resident who has either been talked into this against his better judgment or is too dumb to know how stupid it is, alleges that<\/a> he and \u201cmillions of other similarly situated individuals\u201d have been damaged because the \u201cNew York Giants\u201d and the \u201cNew York Jets\u201d do not, in fact, engage in their sporting matches in the aforesaid state, the name of which is incorporated in their official name, but in a neighboring state known as \u201cNew Jersey.\u201d They once played in New York, but \u2026 you know what, I think I\u2019ve said enough to explain why this complaint is either a joke\u2014and it seems like an awful lot of work for a pretty lame joke\u2014or an incredibly stupid claim, so you can probably take it from here.<\/em><\/p>\n I guess I will say this: Suero alleges that \u201c[m]any [New York] fans who attend Giants or Jets games for the first time are unaware that these teams play out-of-state,\u201d which poses the question of how they got to that out-of-state stadium in the first place.<\/em><\/p>\n Plaintiff demands $6 billion and an injunction moving or renaming the teams, but will be receiving none of that.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" From the genius known as Kevin Underhill, maestro of Lowering the Bar.
