Fiona Hill has an opinion essay in today’s New York Times, drawing on her decades’ long study of Vladimir Putin. I admire her for that.<\/p>\n

But when I read the headline…<\/p>\n

Putin Has the U.S. Right Where He Wants It<\/h1>\n

I said, “Oh yes!” Because I thought she meant what seems true to me: Putin has the right, i.e., right wing, in this country where he wants it.<\/p>\n

To remind us all of what we don’t need to be reminded of, Trump, Putin’s man, lost his election and no longer has the power to make sure Putin can do whatever he wants to do, without opposition.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
