[T]he Ukrainian president penned an open letter to his Moscow counterpart, inviting him to the negotiating table. \u201cWhen you came to power in Russia more than twenty-six years ago, many people in Ukraine viewed you positively,\u201d he wrote. \u201cThat is how it was. But that is now in the past.\u201d The Russian statesman declined the overture, responding at his country\u2019s annual economic forum in St. Petersburg, \u201cI don\u2019t see [the] point,\u201d after he emerged from a weekslong disappearance into various bunkers, hermitages, and hideouts across Russia to hold a televised meeting with one of his old school teachers as his low domestic approval ratings were reported.<\/em><\/p>\n Just this morning, The New York Times reported that Ukrainian drones hit Moscow big-time, p<\/a>resumably to notify the Russian people that Putin can’t keep them safe from the war he started. (Especially not from his bunkers.
