Have you followed the peculiar career of Roy Moore, an Alabama judge? He was removed from the bench\u00a0\u2014 the Alabama<\/em> bench, that is \u2014 for an ethics violation. (Ethics? In Alabama? OK.) Anyway, Judge Moore had, notoriously, refused to remove a granite statue representing the Ten Commandments from his courthouse so an ethics panel removed him<\/em>. (I don’t know what happened to the statue.)<\/p>\n

This reminds me of a little test I saw recently. It says something like: “Which one of the following is not like the others?” And the three items were Magna Carta, the Declaration of Independence, and the Ten Commandments. (Why did I just capitalize the decalogue? Shouldn’t have.)<\/p>\n

Anyway, Judge Moore is back, running for office as a judge. Again. And polls suggest he is going to win. Read Robbie Brown’s article from the New York Times<\/em>. <\/a>It’s a bullet list of things that are wrong in this country.<\/p>\n
