Given my struggles with my personal injury lawyers \u2014 causing me to file a grievance in the Departmental Disciplinary Committee of New York State Court Administration (and separately forcing me to request arbitration because I haven’t received my settlement money) \u2014 I’m amazed at the prompt response of the Disciplinary Committee. If only “my” lawyers had responded so efficiently and courteously to me, their client!<\/p>\n
Yesterday I received a letter from a Legal Assistant for the Disciplinary Committee, again advising me that they’d received my complaint and further advising me about what will happen next: they will investigate, send my complaint to the lawyers and, when they get an answer, send it to me for comments.<\/p>\n
I feel empowered. Attention has been paid. Thank you, Disciplinary Committee. No matter the outcome, you are good people.<\/p>\n
