Koch Bros Final Solution to Democracy: buy judges

Wow, it turns my stomach to read this ugly aspect of that corporations-are-people decision by the Supreme Five:

Surge of Last Minute Outside Spending Hits State Supreme Court Races | Brennan Center for Justice.

Another strategy in the Koch Bros Final Solution to Democracy: buy legislators and, as a critical backstop, buy the judges who will determine the constitutionality of the laws those legislators pass.

In a way, it’s worse with judges, because most of us don’t have any immediate way of determining what judges to vote for, or even what those judges who are on a ballot represent. How do we voters evaluate judges? And since we can’t really know much about the judges running − certainly not the way we can learn about our legislators − a TV or radio ad can have a big impact.
