In a way, it’s worse with judges, because most of us don’t have any immediate way of determining what judges to vote for, or even what those judges who are on a ballot represent. How do we voters evaluate judges? And since we can’t really know much about the judges running − certainly not the way we can learn about our legislators − a TV or radio ad can have a big impact.
