The lawyer couple is, of course, African American. The husband, Michael Warren, is a prominent attorney. The Warrens had observed the police tackle a man and, once he was handcuffed, kick him in the head. They tried to stop the assault by telling the cops that what they were doing was wrong and illegal. For that they got punched in the face and charged with “disorderly conduct.”
The cops, Steven Talvy, Joseph Tillotson, Anthony Carozza and John Acconi, have “cost the city over a half a million dollars to settle multiple lawsuits.”
Bad cops are, as ever, costing the City, i.e., us taxpayers, a fortune. And abusing our fellow citizens’ civil rights.
