Mysteries of Life. And death: News from the…uh, corpse front

From Harper’s Weekly Review, of course of course:

Four members of an antiestablishment cult in England were arrested for attempting to kidnap a coroner, and Scotland reported a shortage of corpses for its medical students.

Wonderments: what is antiestablishment about kidnaped coroners? Or just unkidnaped coroners? If I were antiestablishment, I’d attempt to kidnap someone higher up in the establishment firmament than a coroner.

And I must ask: does this have anything to do with the Scottish shortage of corpses? If not, I suggest the medical students get together with the coroner-kidnaping group. I’m seeing a plan they could work out. Better than grave-digging, although not quite as romantic.
