Neighbors object to intrusive renovations of expensive UES townhouse

Renovations to townhouses concern me because impermissible and un-permitted renovations are one facet of my co-op lawsuit.

But I give you this item from the Daily News in my campaign to help everyone feel good about not being rich: Upper East Side residents battle retail tycoon over townhouse renovations – NY Daily News.

There are certain accusations about these renovations — all accusations coming from other very rich, Upper East Side townhouse owners — that read kind of like a Housing Court complaint. Not that I’m suggesting that people who can retain expensive lawyers should travel down to Housing Court — they’d crowd it for the rest of us — but still, those of us who can’t afford to retain expensive lawyers should read this story as an advisory: the same angering NYC residential problems can happen to rich people, not only to us middle-classers.
