Oscar Peterson’s widow sues singer Hilary Kole

This lawsuit involves copyright infringement.  “The legal dispute centers on four tracks that crooner Hilary Kole made with the celebrated jazz musician [Oscar Peterson] just months before he died in December 2007.

His widow, Kelly Peterson, filed a lawsuit in Manhattan Federal Court this week, accusing Kole of giving copies of the songs to an Internet radio program.”
