Protests, fossil fuels and (animal news) big balloons: it’s complicated

So points out the item in Harper’s Weekly Review:

In New York, protesters demonstrating for the liberation of Palestine disrupted the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, cutting in front of the enormous dinosaur balloon sponsored by Sinclair Oil Corporation, which has violated air emission limits and was granted fuel waivers by the Trump Administration.

Now that I’ve read this twice, part of my brain is twisted. I swear. I can feel it.

P.S. Some in the liberation group glued their hands to the pavement. Before my brain twisted I was trying to figure out how this advanced their cause in a meaningful way, but now I know about the dinosaur balloon and the fuel waivers via Trump….

My brain is so twisted I forgot what I was going to write up there. Something meaningful, I’m sure.
