An important editorial from the NYT (Religion, Contraception and Bosses’ Rights – NYTimes.com.) on a recent appellate decision regarding the issue of, hey, if corporations are people and have the right to free speech, i.e., donate piles of money to buy their political candidates, why shouldn’t they be able to reject the Affordable Care Act’s provision for offering contraception in their health insurance policies? Because of their civil right to Impose Their Religious Freedom on Everybody Else?
That was a long sentence, wasn’t it? And a rotten appellate decision.
