Speaking of immigration…

Which, of course, is all over the place–let’s give a standing ovation to Donald Trump for his fine work in keeping on top of the issue!–here is lawsuit news re immigration status that once again confirms my sense that New York City is a separate and far better country:

Immigration Status Found Not at Issue in Fair Wage Suit

Mark Hamblett, New York Law Journal

Immigrant laborers in fair wage litigation against Alice’s Tea Cup, which has three restaurants in Manhattan, are not obligated to turn over papers on their immigration status or their tax returns in discovery, a federal magistrate judge has ruled.

I’m not happy with Alice’s Tea Cup about the above. Good for the magistrate judge for slamming Alice’s lawyers’ threatening demands.

I once had a complete English high tea at Alice’s Tea Cup. Next time I pine for one, I’ll go back downtown to Tea & Sympathy.
