Strictly for bitter laughter, “Trump Speaks Out Against Anti-Semitism”

As a Semite, I’m so relieved. So so so so… I mean, I’m on my knees thanking–well, when you don’t believe in any god, whom do you elevate to demigod status in order to thank? Ivanka? Guess so. Anyhow…

Per the Times:

He made the comments after drawing criticism in recent days for failing to condemn the rise in anti-Jewish threats and actions.

Here’s my fave “speak out” as quoted in this very short article. First, the context:

During a visit to the National Museum of African American History and Culture, Mr. Trump made the comments after drawing criticism in recent days for failing to condemn anti-Jewish threats and actions.

And what he said?

Mr. Trump said his visit was “a meaningful reminder of why we have to fight bigotry, intolerance and hatred in all of its very ugly forms.”

I bolded that, but you didn’t need me to, did you?

I mean, “bigotry, intolerance and hatred”? “…very ugly forms”?

That was his entire campaign. And is the reason he is where he is now, to our continued horror.
