This editorial in yesterday’s New York Times states the case succinctly. It’s a must-read for all women who vote and for women who don’t vote and need to be convinced that they must.
The misogyny which defines the G.O.P. position has been confirmed this morning by John Boehner’s announcement that he will be quitting as Speaker of the House–because his rank and file do not consider him sufficiently anti-women to “lead” them.
This time Republicans are using American women’s right to sexual health as their flimsy excuse to shut down the government, again.
