For quite a while, if quietly, I’ve liked Ashley Judd as an actor. (And no, it’s not because her mother is named Naomi.) Last year she was quite terrific in a TV thriller series called “Missing,” which unaccountably hasn’t been renewed.
But one good actor does not necessarily a good Senate candidate make.
Until Judd spoke openly about her potential candidacy against Mitch McConnell, I hadn’t known anything about her political values. Now I do. And this, from Mother Jones, tells me even more about her. If it weren’t enough that the right wing has already opened an anti-Judd campaign of their usual high quality lies and innuendos, i.e., are they scared?, this piece has won my support for her.
